Custom Dictionary
Improve transcription accuracy by adding custom words, technical terms, names, and jargon to your personal dictionary.
Why Use a Custom Dictionary?
AI transcription models may not recognize:
- Technical terminology
- Brand names
- Proper nouns (names of people, places, companies)
- Industry-specific jargon
- Uncommon words or acronyms
Adding these words to your dictionary helps Dicta transcribe them correctly.
Adding Words
- Open Dicta
- Navigate to Dictionary in the sidebar
- Click the ”+” button to add a new word
- Enter the word as you want it transcribed
- Optionally, enter how the word sounds (pronunciation)
- Optionally, assign a category for organization
